Hello! My name is NsikakAbasi Essien, and I am a trained musician, music scholar, and dedicated piano instructor with a deep passion for music education and musicianship development.
I graduated as the best student in my university, and my journey in music has been shaped by both academic excellence and practical experience. A typical session begins with technical development—including scales, finger exercises, and coordination—followed by a review of previous material to reinforce learning. From there, we introduce new concepts or pieces, which are immediately applied through playing, interpretation, or improvisation. Every lesson ends with clear feedback and structured practice guidance, so students always know how to improve between sessions.
What sets me apart is my ability to simplify complex musical ideas and make them practical. As a best graduating student, I bring both strong academic knowledge and real-world musicianship into my teaching. I also blend classical foundations with contemporary and gospel styles, helping students become well-rounded and versatile musicians—not just note players.
My lessons are designed for a wide range of learners: from complete beginners to advanced students, including those preparing for exams, performances, or developing skills for church and contemporary music settings.
