About Alisia
Hi, I’m Alisia, a certified yoga teacher with over 200 hours of training through The Yoga Shala’s Apprenticeship-Practitioner Intensive. My training has focused on Ashtanga yoga, anatomy, alignment, breathwork, yoga philosophy, and teaching methodology.
I practice and teach Ashtanga yoga with a focus on creating a supportive and approachable experience for every student. Whether you are completely new to yoga or already have an established practice, I believe that yoga should meet you where you are.
My goal as a teacher is to help you feel comfortable, confident, and connected to your practice while building a strong foundation in movement, breath, and body awareness.
Online lessons allow us to work together one-on-one in a comfortable environment, with instruction tailored specifically to your experience and goals. I am committed to providing clear guidance, thoughtful feedback, and a positive learning experience in every session.

I use a personalized, student-centered approach that works well in an online setting. I demonstrate postures and movements, provide clear verbal instruction, and observe students through the camera so I can offer helpful alignment cues and modifications throughout the practice.
I believe yoga should be accessible to everyone, so I adapt each lesson based on a student's experience, mobility, goals, and comfort level. I encourage students to ask questions and learn how to better understand their own bodies rather than simply copying movements.
For students interested in Ashtanga, I introduce the practice progressively, helping students learn the sequence, breathing techniques, foundational postures, and principles behind the practice. Depending on the student's level, we may focus on learning new postures, refining existing ones, building strength and mobility, or developing a consistent practice.
