About Finley
With 15 years' of drumming and a Master’s in Percussion Performance, I bring technical depth, musical insight, and real-world experience into my teaching. I’ve performed with orchestras, jazz ensembles, touring bands, percussion ensembles, and contemporary music groups, giving me a strong foundation in both traditional and modern drumming. My lessons emphasise core fundamentals such as timing, technique, dynamic control, posture, and musical interpretation. I work with students of all ages and ability levels, designing personalised lessons that match each learner’s goals. I believe in a methodical approach that also leaves space for creativity, exploration, and fun. Students receive structured practice plans designed to help them make steady, measurable progress.
I incorporate written exercises, ear-training, groove building, improvisation, and song-based learning into every programme. My teaching environment is supportive, professional, and motivating, encouraging learners to explore creativity while maintaining discipline.

Students develop independence, technical precision, and the ability to adapt to various musical contexts. I celebrate progress and milestones to maintain motivation and reinforce growth.
