About Louise
I am an experienced Piano tutor with over 12 years of teaching experience, working with students of all ages—from school children to college learners and working professionals. My focus is to provide lessons that are structured, engaging, and personalised while building confidence, technical skill, and a love for music.
My teaching philosophy emphasises strong fundamentals, clear instruction, and regular practice. I teach proper finger technique, hand coordination, rhythm, sight reading, and music theory while encouraging creativity and self-expression. Lessons are explained in simple English and reinforced with exercises, familiar songs, and demonstrations to make learning effective and enjoyable.
I design lessons according to each student’s pace, age, and goals. For young learners, lessons are interactive and fun, while adults and professionals receive structured, goal-oriented, and flexible sessions.
I also provide guidance on home practice, performance preparation, and exam readiness. Many of my students have performed successfully, passed graded exams, and continued piano as a lifelong hobby. Helping students grow musically is my proudest accomplishment.

In piano lessons, I combine technical instruction with creative exploration to help students develop skill, musical understanding, and confidence.
I break lessons into clear, manageable steps, provide demonstrations, and encourage questions, practice, and experimentation. Positive reinforcement and constructive feedback help students stay motivated and engaged.
I also teach other relevant subjects using the same adaptable, student-centred methodology. My goal is to help students achieve their goals, grow in confidence, and develop a lifelong love for learning and self-expression.
