I am a drum tutor with 7 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. I began teaching while still in university and quickly realized how much I enjoyed it. My lessons focus on clarity, structure, and steady progression. I help students build technique through simple, effective exercises. Students learn stick control, independence, timing, and rhythm reading. My approach emphasizes patience and understanding. I believe students should feel supported, not pressured. Lessons incorporate songs, exercises, and musical challenges. I tailor instruction to each learner’s interests. Building confidence is one of my main teaching goals. My drum lessons are designed to help students build strong technical skills while developing musicality and confidence. My teaching environment is supportive, encouraging, and motivating, allowing learners to experiment and take risks. Lessons emphasize listening skills, musical analysis, and application in both solo and ensemble settings. Students gradually develop technical precision, coordination, independence, and musical awareness. I celebrate milestones to maintain motivation and reinforce progress.
Each session balances structured skill-building with opportunities for creativity and expression. Drumming becomes both a disciplined skill and a means of artistic expression. Lessons help students gain confidence, versatility, and independence. Students leave sessions with new techniques, musical inspiration, and motivation to continue growing.
