My name is Sandra. I am a teacher and being what I am and doing what I do as a teacher is one of the things I most enjoy doing in life! I started working as a teacher shortly after returning from my assignment in New York City. My missionary work lasted 17 months and I can definitely say that this was the experience of my life. In order to become an effective missionary I had to go through a 7-week language immersion course in which I studied for at least 12 hours a day - since I knew almost nothing about the language and really couldn't communicate with anyone in the beginning. That course helped me to learn the language as well as to be patient with myself, as I did my best to learn the language in a short period of time.
