About Priya

Hi! My name is Priya. I love tutoring and have done for 6 years now. I have a well-rounded and in-depth knowledge of Chemistry, Biology and Maths. I love science so much I took triple science at GCSEs and got 8's and 7's in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I also got a 7 in maths during GCSEs. I knew I always wanted to go into the healthcare field so I took my love for these sciences and studied them further at A Level (maths was by far my favourite subject!). I now am a Pre-reg pharmacist, who has studied pharmacy at Kingston University and achieved a first! This included all of the concepts from A Level Chemistry, Biology and even Maths, but of course, it is those concepts expanded further. When teaching, I am very adaptive to the student's needs, if they think something isn't working or they want to try something differently I am more than happy to help in any way I can.

About the class

All students are different! So everyone has different learning techniques. Usually, I ask what works for a student and work around that. If they are unsure then that is no problem, I am more than happy to test out different techniques with them and see what is best suited to them. Usually, my lessons are around 1-2 hours, if you require more or less then that's fine also. I have experience tutoring for ages 7-17 years old, this has been in groups and one to one. I have also worked in a nursery so I also have experience working with and teaching younger years too. My lessons are for anyone studying for their A-Levels, GCSEs or below!

Priya is a patient and supportive tutor who helped my daughter achieve her grade 6 in GCSE Maths from getting a 4 in February mocks! She adapted her teaching methods to suit my daughter’s learning style, making sure she understood each topic and felt comfortable in her abilities. Not only did she help with Maths, she also went above and beyond by supporting my daughter with all three sciences. Priya’s encouragement and belief in my daughter made such a difference in her confidence, for which I am extremely grateful. I am so thankful for all of the time and effort she put into my daughter and helping her achieve her results! I would recommend Priya to anyone seeking a tutor who genuinely cares about her students and wants to see them succeed. Thank you so much, Priya!

Priya has been absolutely brilliant with my daughter, helping her with both GCSE Biology and Chemistry. She is incredibly patient, kind and sweet, and has a wonderful way of making my daughter feel comfortable and confident, even when she was struggling.

Honestly, I had very little hope that my daughter would pass either subject, and I would have been absolutely delighted with a 4. She ended up getting a 5 in Biology and a 6 in Chemistry — we couldn’t believe it!

A huge part of this achievement is down to Priya’s patience, encouragement and dedication. She never gave up on her and always made her feel that she could do it.

I genuinely couldn’t recommend Priya enough. She is a fantastic tutor and we are so grateful for everything she has done. ️
