I focus on breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps while making sure students truly understand the “why” behind what they are learning. I create an environment where questions are welcomed, mistakes are part of growth, and progress is consistently reinforced.
My teaching method centers on active learning. Rather than lecturing, I guide students through problems step by step, asking targeted questions to assess understanding and encourage critical thinking. I use visual explanations, real-world examples, and structured repetition to strengthen comprehension, especially in subjects like biology, chemistry, math, and engineering fundamentals. When working with students who struggle with test anxiety or organization, I also incorporate study strategies such as spaced repetition, practice testing, and structured review sheets. I adapt each session to the student’s learning style, whether they benefit more from diagrams, practice problems, discussion, or written summaries.
A typical lesson begins with a brief check-in and a review of previous material to reinforce retention. I model one or two examples, then gradually shift responsibility to the student while providing guided support. We end each session with a summary of key takeaways and a short independent practice plan to ensure continued improvement between meetings.
