About Lynden

I am a PhD Student at the University of Bristol. My research looks into enzyme structure-function relationships and how we can change and exploit this to develop new antibiotics and self-healing materials. I have taken teaching courses via the PhD and have experience teaching undergrads and masters level students in an academic setting.

About the class

I am looking to tutor students at any stage of higher education (6th form through to university). My teaching methodology is simple - I will guide the student to answers rather than tell you. I believe this is an important part of understanding the subject as a whole.

I also have a bunch of tips for passing exams...

Lynden is an exceptional teacher. He's very patient and can explain complex concepts simply and easily. I work with Lynden in his PhD lab and have watched him tutor undergraduate students who clearly like working with him, and are learning a lot.

Once Lynden explained the course he is studying to me (I have literally no-prior knowledge of biology) and by the end of the conversation I felt like I understood loads because he has such a clear and good way of communicating, plus it was super interesting to listen to, so I can only imagine how good his actual tutoring method is! Definitely recommend him as a tutor
