About Charlotte
Hi !
My name is Charlotte Frantz and I aspire to be a personal tutor on Superprof as a means to engage with anyone who is keen to learn English or French.
Growing up in Hong Kong all my life, I have benefited from a multi-cultural background which drove me to learn various languages. Fluent in both English and French, I can also speak Chinese and German. I find languages to be a crucial aspect of our ever-expanding world as it helps us build a community and make social connections. Not only that, but learning languages helps students gain perspective on what they read, understand relationships, and follow logical lines of thought which is a key component in future job prospects.
I currently study International Relations at the University of Edinburgh and I would love to transpire the knowledge I have gained over the past years to anyone in need of help with either English and French. Whether it be assisting with homework, or training for a job interview, no task is too small when done together !

I usually like to run my lessons by starting with a 10 minute quiz on the material we covered in the previous lesson to go over the key content we examined formerly: vocabulary, grammar, homework, etc.
I believe speaking the language is a key component as to grasping the correct intonations and further enhances students prospects at adopting the correct turns of phrases so most of the session will be held in French or English. I additionally like to make my students read certain passages in French or English as to help sharpen their sentence structure and improve their writing skills. As such, I usually select extracts from classic French books such as La Fontaine's Fables or classic English novels such as 1984 by Georges Orwell.
I previously tutored kids aged 5-15 in Hong Kong but I am very eager to help out anyone keen enough to learn French or English any level for lessons lasting from 1 to 2 hours.
