As someone who has used tutors and tutored others in the past, I understand everyone learns a little differently. I try to correct your way of thinking about a concept instead of instilling my own. I tend to go over the concept with a student and see what they get, correct any issues in the line of thinking, go over an example problem, and then have the student do an example problem on their own while I'm present to make sure they understand the concept and not simply the example I walked through with them!
