About Ruby
With over a 21 years of experience in Piano teaching, I have had the privilege of working with students ranging from young children to college learners and working professionals. My focus is on making piano learning structured, engaging, and rewarding while fostering confidence and discipline.
My teaching philosophy is based on strong fundamentals, clarity, and consistent progress. I focus on hand posture, finger strength, rhythm, sight reading, and music theory. I also encourage students to explore creativity and expression in their music. I explain concepts in simple English, breaking down complex techniques into manageable steps, so students feel confident and motivated.
I adapt lessons to each student’s pace, interest, and goals. For children, lessons are interactive and fun, while adults and working professionals benefit from structured, goal-oriented sessions. I also provide guidance on home practice, performance preparation, and exam readiness. Over the years, many of my students have performed confidently, passed music exams, and developed a lifelong love for piano. Helping students achieve their musical potential is my greatest reward.
