About Sofia
Hi everyone!
My name is Sofia. I graduated highschool in 2022, achieving a band 6 in all of my subjects (except French) and ranking 9th in the state for Advanced English. I am now studying a Bachelor of Arts and Laws at Macquarie University, whilst working part time at Betty's Burgers and weekends at my local dance school. Boring background info aside, I love music, playing guitar, going to the beach with friends, and genuinely - I really like learning. And I'd love to help some of you learn to love learning too.

I believe that students are capable of achieving their personal best when supported and inspired by a tutor who understands how they learn best. That is why as a tutor, I would cater how I assist you based on how you understand concepts, retain information, and articulate your responses. Personally, I enjoy methods such as Cornell note taking, the Pomodoro study technique, and essay breakdowns which include thesis construction, text analysis, and exercising control of language. These techniques would be crucial to an HSC student across the English and humanities subjects - however any highschool student should invest time and preparation in English as a foundation for all other learning. I am studying a Bachelor of Arts and Laws at Macquarie University, and would use my own study strategies as a guide to help others.
