About Maria
I am a working artist and art teacher. My specialist subject is fine art and and I also teach photography, video and image /video editing. I am a fluent speaker of English and have taught Greek language to beginners and improvers along with English language to university students. I am a graduate of Athens School of Fine Art with distinction and I hold a Masters from Goldsmiths College. I am also a winner of Vikatos Foundation Art Scholarship. For the past 5 years I have taught all ages both in groups and individually, children 6-12, teenagers 14-17 and adults in further education. I enjoy teaching a lot and I find the improvement of my student/students an absolute must to feel satisfied with myself. I am patient and hardworking and most of all I enjoy what I do, it is always a privilege to see my students excel in their chosen subjects. I can teach theory as well as practice with a critical understanding of Arts. I can help students navigate their way around Adobe Premiere and Photoshop. I can also help students prepare a strong portfolio for Art University applications and I can also advise on how to make unconventional art statements. Perfect! Meeting Maria was a very positive experience. She was extremely helpful in explaining how to use ‘Superprof’, as I had been confused initially. I appreciated that she is an experienced art tutor with a wide range of related skills, including still and moving image CAD. During our free introductory session, we covered many essential topics. Because of this, I went ahead and booked a 2-hour session for the next day, hoping to arrange more 1-to-1 sessions in the future. Many thanks

Maria is an amazing teacher!!! 100% contagious, every lesson with her is even more knowledge in something so creative!!!
Maria is much more than just an art and design tutor. She is a very intelligent, deeply educated, very experienced practicing artist. Maria is extremely efficient in explaining the material and motivating her students. She is equally amazing with kids, teenagers and adults. My kids (aged 20 and 11) and myself had been having lessons with Maria and can recommend her with confidence and pleasure. She can be academic and helpful in creating a portfolio or getting ready for a university, or inventive and funny if it’s what you need. In terms of organizing Maria is super punctual, responsible and super skilled technically.
Maria taught my daughter for a year one to one art classes and during this period my daughter improved skills, gained confidence and now she is excelling in art.
All her teachers are impressed and I couldn't thank her enough for giving my daughter such a unique perspective in art.Maria is a colleague of mine we teach after school Dance classes in the London area. Ages 6-14. Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Cheerleading, Gymnastics etc.
