About Saeed
I am Saeed Saffari, a dedicated Ph.D. student in Economics at Dalhousie University. My academic path is marked by a deep commitment to teaching and a passion for applying technological tools in the field of economics. As a lecturer, I have taught principles of programming in economics, emphasizing Python and R, and guided students in understanding and utilizing these languages to analyze economic data. My approach to teaching is interactive and student-centric, aiming to make complex theoretical concepts accessible and practical. Since 2020, I have been actively teaching hundreds of students, focusing primarily on 'Applied Python in Economics.' My role extends beyond traditional lecturing to conducting various workshops where I delve into the practical applications of Python in economic research. In my Applied Python for Economics classes, I focus on practical skills that bridge economic theory with data analysis.
