About Iva
Hello! My name is Iva, and I'm a high school student from California. As an advanced student, I have extensive experience in algebra and geometry. I not only study in school but I further my math skills at the Russian School of Mathematics which uses proven learning practices to teach its content. My passion is to share skills and guide my students through firsthand experience. I will be teaching math with a focus on algebra and geometry, but all requests and materials are welcome! The teaching method that makes me unique is that I customize the curriculum for each student. By assessing your skills and areas needing improvement, we can work toward your goals most effectively.
A typical Math (Algebra and Geometry) lesson plan would include:
- 15 minutes for reviewing the previous week's homework
- 30 minutes for learning new material tailored to your learning goals
- 10 minutes for additional activities (e.g., advanced problem practice/additional topics)
- 5 minutes for going over assigned homework for the next session
The length of the lesson can be adjusted to suit the student's needs.
My sessions are open to students of all learning levels! I don't just teach material; as a student, I draw from firsthand knowledge to guide my students through their educational journeys with tips, advice, and goal-setting.
