About Tom
Actors I’ve worked with have gone on to book major roles in Hollywood films, Broadway productions, and West End shows.
My clients are currently appearing in hit series and films on Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Amazon Prime, ITV, and the BBC.
My 20 years working on stage and screen as an actor and director has given me a deep, inside-out understanding of the actor’s process — what they need, what challenges them, and what frees them.
When I moved into directing, I built on that insight, studying Stanislavski and Meisner with Elen Bowman to refine techniques that help performers fully embody their roles.
Today, I draw on my performer’s instinct and director’s vision to create a space where actors feel safe, challenged, and inspired to deliver their most truthful, compelling work.
In 2015 the National Theatre saw a show of mine, The Dogs of War, & invited me to train on their directors course at the NT Studio.
The next few years I worked in the West End & all over the UK.
My career has seen me working with Cameron Mackintosh on Miss Saigon and Oliver! collaborating with incredible artists worldwide, directing shows that won awards at The Edinburgh Festival and touring all over Europe and transferring Off-Broadway!
When the world changed forever in 2020 I reinvigorated my way of working again, coaching performers online, writing & directing online content. This led me to work with stars such as Raven Symoné & Sir Derek Jacobi.

Tom is an incredible teacher, I look forward to work with him every time!
He finds the perfect balance of pushing you while adapting to you and where you’re at
Tom is great. He helped me create a stable foundation from where I can start each of my characters as an actor. Bringing colour, movement and rhythm to text, which doesn't only help you learn your lines but opens a depth to which I've never experienced before. Aside from being great at his work - Tom is a lovely, empathetic human that makes you feel incredibly comfortable and safe. Highly recommend.
Brilliant coaching, and really helped me with confidence and deepening of text. Such a joy to work with you, Tom!
