About Akmal
I am a 4th Year Medical Student based at the University of York of whom has done a master's at UCL demonstrating my passion for academics and ability to understand difficult concepts. Teaching is an integral component of medicine and I have been continuously developing this skill in order to explain new concepts and adapt the delivery based on the individual’s current understanding.
I have experience tutoring online in particular GCSEs
Due to the nature of my course, I am constantly learning new revision strategies and better methods to help solidify knowledge so I hope to pass on that information to my students.

1-1.5 Hour Max Teaching Sessions for GCSE maths, chemistry or biology that employ a range of teaching techniques to ensure better memory retention but also the ability to adequately apply knowledge to exam style questions. These involve a mix of the provision of flashcard style notes, past paper practice questions and review of mark-schemes to understand how to exactly answer questions. Each session would involve the basic understanding of a topic and this knowledge would be applied directly in past paper questions to ensure targeted revision and the aim is for the student to feel confident in the topic discussed by the end of each session through practical application.
I have tutored a student in GCSE chemistry transforming her grade from a 4 at the beginning of Y10 to a 8 in her actual GCSEs
I was a grammar school student so able to do 11+ tutoring for verbal, non-verbal, numerical reasoning etc.
