About Akshaiah
Hi! I’m a 4th-year Medical Student at Aston University and I’ve always enjoyed helping others understand things they find difficult. I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I try to make lessons feel relaxed while still being productive.
I achieved 7 GCSE Grade 9s and A* grades in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology, alongside an A in Maths. Through my own experience of studying for exams, I understand how overwhelming revision can feel, so I like helping students find a way of learning that works for them.
I also have experience tutoring students and working as a university peer mentor, where I support students academically and help them build confidence.
Outside of studying, I enjoy dancing, travelling and spending time with family and friends. I’m looking forward to meeting new students and helping them feel more confident in their subjects!

My teaching style
I focus on understanding topics clearly before applying knowledge to exam-style questions. I begin by identifying areas of difficulty, then break concepts into manageable sections and explain them simply.
My lessons use active recall, exam technique and practice questions to help students retain information and improve their performance. I adapt each lesson to the student, whether they need help understanding content, building confidence or identifying gaps in their knowledge.
As a medical student, I have developed effective study habits and can help students create realistic revision plans. I have also worked as a university peer mentor, supporting students academically.
