About Michael
I am very patient and will work with the student at their pace. I do not "put down" or ridicule students that I tutor. I love teaching math and I love to share that passion with those that have a desire to learn.
I was pursuing my Doctorate degree and my school asked me to teach. I enjoyed teaching students. After graduating, I decided to work outside the University.
I have a PhD in computational applied mathematics. I taught ten semesters of Precalculus while pursuing my PhD. I have tutored several people over the years who were preparing for various tests and certifications. They all passed which made me extremely happy!

I start by asking what areas the student is struggling. Then, I work with them on homework problems and ask them to talk their way through the problem with me. If I feel that they need more problems to work on, I will give them extra problems to work on before we meet again.
Primarily college students and working adults.
I would say to hire a tutor that is patient and willing to work with the student at their pace.
