About Charlie
Now in my second year at medical school I have had my fair share of exams and the stress that comes with taking them. However, I am a firm believer that revising smarter and not harder is by far the most effective way of success. This is why I like to pay particular attention to exam technique so that all your knowledge can be converted into marks. I will provide varied lessons with a fun and encouraging approach to teaching so that you feel comfortable enough to always ask questions when I haven’t been clear enough. This leads to a team approach which is more worthwhile than staring at a textbook by yourself!
In my free time I love to play rugby for my university and also going out with my friends.

I think it is really useful when the lesson begins to understand where the starting knowledge of the student is and/or where their particular struggles lie. In terms of A-level / GCSE tutoring I like for the student to explain to me all they know about the subject already so that I can gain an understanding on where we should focus our efforts during the session.
From there I will give as much advice and help as possible - teaching in an interactive way, using regular check ups so that we are both on the same page. We will then do an overall recap at the end of each session including past paper questions so that you can leave with a thorough understanding of what we have just been talking about. I also would love to answer any further questions you have (even after the session has ended of course)!
A typical lesson would last an hour and I have had previous experience of tutoring GCSE students whilst in sixth form.
