About Srikrishnan
Krishna was born and raised in Chennai, Southern India. He started learning South Indian percussion from South India’s First Grammy Award Maestro T.H. Vikku Vinayakram (Percussionist from Shakti – John McLaughlin) at the age of 9. He started playing Ghatam (Indian clay pot) in professional classical concerts at 14, which slowly developed interests in other percussion like kanjeera (Frame Drums) and Morsing (Jaw-Harp). He studied percussion for 15 years meanwhile completing his Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, India. His avid interest in bringing the Music and Computer together as Creative Sonic Arts led him to receive a Master of Science in Music Technology from the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology, Indianapolis, USA.

Things to know: I begin with the basics and fundamentals and develop the techniques from there! We will learn the lessons more practically in an unconventional way for better and easy understanding. I prefer both one-to-one and group classes! But, hey! Group classes are fun! We get to learn from everyone and it's exciting!!!

Srikrishnan is one of the best when it comes to guitars and percussions. He's been a great teacher for the last 5 years personally. Since he's also a performing musician, he suggests lot of techniques that can be implemented not only theoretically, also practically ! I love how easy it is to follow his lessons. I would definitely recommend everyone to try his classes. I'm sure it is lot of fun and learning!
