About Jennifer
This is my 22nd year teaching Spanish. I've taught middle school Spanish for 20+ years and have always loved tutoring high school level Spanish as well. I love working 1:1 to give my students my complete attention and to support their needs. Learning a language doesn't need to be difficult or stressful and tutoring allows me to break down those barriers and make it fun and easy to learn. The reason why people have such bad experiences with a language is because either they didn't have the right instructor or the course load didn't meet their individual needs.

I'm an energetic and passionate foreign language teacher who makes each and every lesson fun and stress free while teaching the concepts and skills to be successful. I love to use a variety of resources such as songs, acronyms, helpful tips & tricks as well as visuals to help my students learn. In my classroom, I teach culture through songs, map work, La Lotería (bingo) and online interactive games. When we do readings from class novels, I incorporate activities such as colorful visual presentations, reading comprehension lessons and fun listening activities to engage my learners and keep them focused. We also do lots of journal writing on different themes such as daily routines, Día de los Muertos and our favorite pastimes/hobbies and classes.
