About AasmaFilms
I am a self-taught artist. My learning started via deep observations since I was 4 years old. My grandparents and parents have always created things by hands be it rangolis, sky lanterns, woodwork, sweaters, dresses, bags you name it. This allowed a very natural environment full of colors and materials around me while growing up. I have completed PG Diploma in Art, Animation and Gaming from ICAT, Chennai. I have completed a course in History of Arts and Animation from California Institute of Arts. Teaching is my passion. I enjoy observing a child's style of holding pencil to what is the child's persona and accordingly channelise him/her in their artistic journey. Helping them develop curiosity to observe and not just see the world around them. Various shapes, forms,colors, textures, way people walk, talk, expressions there is a lot to grasp when we truly slow down and absorb all that is around us. If you wish to make art your companion for life, I would love to have you as my student!

I maintain a fine balance between learning technical details and maintaining your individual pace and likes while helping you create varied art subjects using different mediums. Watercolor is my speciality. It is a versatile medium and also helps tremendously in increasing focus. It pulls you into a colorful world which feels meditative and rejuvenating in this digitally distracted world.
