About Vaibhav
Hi, I’m an 18-year-old piano instructor based in Lucknow, and I have been living and breathing the piano since 2015. Over the last 11 years of non-stop playing, I have mastered the mechanics of the keyboard, specializing deeply in Indian music styles, right-hand melody leads, and the 10 foundational Hindustani Thaats.
I discovered my passion for teaching early. When I was just 13 years old, I successfully coached an adult student completely from scratch for 6 months. That experience taught me exactly how to break down complex musical concepts into simple, easily digestible steps for students of any age group.
I do not believe in superficial shortcuts or quick-fix methods. Music is a beautiful, lifelong skill that requires real dedication. Because of my extensive 11-year background, I know exactly where beginners stumble, how finger stiffness holds you back, and how to train your ears so you can decode songs without relying on Western sheet music.

Learning to play the piano beautifully cannot happen in a few weeks. It takes time, patience, and a minimum of 6 months of dedicated work. My classes are structured strictly for serious students who want to build a rock-solid foundation in Indian music using a professional, right-hand lead system.
Here is exactly how my physical, 10-class-per-month sessions are run:
1. The 10-Thaat Foundation
We do not waste time reading confusing Western sheet music. Instead, we dive straight into the 10 Hindustani Thaats (from Bilawal to Todi). This is the secret code behind every Indian, Bollywood, and Sufi song. Once your fingers master these 10 structures, you can play across the entire keyboard layout.
2. Technical Rigor & Finger Speed
Playing well requires fluid finger movements. Every single class begins with specialized Alankars and finger-gymnastic drills. I focus heavily on posture, wrist relaxation, and removing the finger stiffness that holds most beginners back.
3. Real Ear-Training
My ultimate goal is to make you independent. In the later months, I will train your ears to decode music. You will learn how to listen to any melody on the radio, instantly recognize its parent Thaat, and map out the notes on your own keyboard without needing a teacher.
4. Step-by-Step Song Application
We do not just practice scales blindly. We take the scales you learn and immediately use them to decode and play full melodies, transitioning smoothly from simple tunes to highly expressive, complex tracks.
