About Alexandra
I am passionate about teaching because I have been in the same position as my students and have learned firsthand the most effective methods for learning and improvement. During secondary school, I attended a school with limited resources, which meant I had to take charge of my own GCSE preparation. At the start of Year 11, I was working at a grade 5, but through dedication and independent study, I achieved a grade 8 in my final exams. That hard work was incredibly rewarding, and I want my students to experience the same sense of pride and accomplishment when they open their results.
Currently, I am studying three A-levels alongside an EPQ, working towards my goal of becoming a doctor. One of the most fulfilling ways I spend my time is volunteering at my local care home, and I also tutor younger students at my sixth form, helping them build confidence and achieve their potential.

- I would begin the first session by assessing the student’s ability through their feedback and a past paper to identify weaker areas and determine the most effective approach. Based on this assessment, I would tailor the sessions to best support their needs. Since September, I have been tutoring GCSE students, primarily through my sixth form, which has allowed me to develop and refine effective teaching techniques to ensure progress.
- Having completed my GCSEs just last year, I understand how stressful this period can be and the pressure to succeed. My goal is to provide support in a way that makes learning effective and engaging, rather than feeling like a chore.
-Each session would be around an hour long, taking place over zoom, incorporating shorter exercises focused on a specific topic to keep them engaging and manageable.
