About Kai
Hi my name is Kai, I am a student from St Lukes Grammar and am currently in yr 9. Maths is one of my favourite subjects in school strongly followed by sport and design and technology. I play lots of sport including basketball and soccer, and I also love problem solving and puzzles. In maths I am one of the best in my year getting A’s in most tests and even getting 100% in equations. I have done lots of teaching, including helping friends with their maths and basketball coaching. I am very friendly but also relatable for younger boys because of all the things I do like gaming.

My tutoring lessons are targeted towards students from primary school up to year 8. In my lessons we will focus on specific topics that the student is struggling in or just help understand the topic better to improve their grades. What I can offer that is different to other tutors is that when I teach, I focus heavily on understanding why you are doing something more than just trying to remember it. This helps students think more independently of how they could use their knowledge in other problems and even solve questions they haven’t been taught yet. My aim is to guide the students and let their brains do the work, and I will help teach them how they could do things better. My lesson times are very flexible and could range from 30mins to 2 hrs.
