About Ted
*Ted Davidson Golf Lessons Profile*
#Born to Play Golf*
Hailing from Palm Springs, CA, the golf capital of the world, I was destined to make a mark on the game. At just 13 years old, I began learning the golf swing from renowned coach Lou Marcouzzo at Reflections CC in La Quinta. Lou's expertise, which has guided numerous PGA Tour players, taught me the physical and mental aspects of the game.
*A Holistic Approach*
My coaching philosophy emphasizes simplicity, fun, and a focus on basics that will benefit every golfer. With 43 years of playing experience, including 26 years as a professional, I've developed a unique approach that helps students think successfully on the practice range and translates to success on the course.
*Professional Highlights*
- 1995: Turned pro at Pala Mesa Resort in Fallbrook, CA
- 1999-2004: Competed on various tours, including the Pepsi and Nike tours
- 2001: Achieved a professional tournament win in Los Angeles
- Sponsored by Dr. Marcus Pride M.D. of the Los Angeles Lakers Organization and LA Sparks

Ted Davidson Golf isn't just golf instruction. It's mental processing combined with physical sport that will bleed over into the rest of your life. Wether you're getting 3 lessons or building a school program that covers all year you'll have a detailed plan set up that's not overwhelming but will definitely challenge each player individually. I Thank You for this opportunity and know you're getting a Master Instructor and Professional Golfer in one.
I started teaching in high school when I was 17 in Palm Springs, Ca while on the golf team at Indio High School. I interned at a course whose owner was a world class instructor that coached players on the PGA Tour in La Quinta, CA. His tutelage and breakdown of the golf swing has allowed me to teach over 17,000 golf lessons throughout the world in the last 30 years.
I'm a 26 year PGA Professional and Touring Professional. I've worked for and ran some of the finest golf schools in the world. I'm also U.S. Army veteran allowing for a structure that helps in short and long term planning.

For over 25 years I've had the same approach with my students and that is to ask the right questions, such as what is your goal and how do you want to get there. From there we come up with a game plan tailored to their specific needs, timeline how often we can meet. Keeping the process simple with realistic goals and expectations is how I like to progress.
I have worked with all ages, levels, and genders as well as physical talents and learning abilities all the way up to the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic team that competed in Rio, Brazil. With the Olympians I focused on mental visualization as well as strategic planning of each scenario they would be encountering on their Olympic journey.
Make sure the instructor you're looking for is one who has a good knowledge of the golf swing. And more importantly make sure there's a rapport and chemistry with the instructor. As a student, decide whether or not this teacher can help my game short or long term.
Aside from the unbelievable experience working with the Olympic athletes, I recently had the opportunity to work with a new student whose goals were very lofty but he was extremely passionate. Upon making a full commitment to not only shots but to their visualization of the shot we took him from a 25 handicap to a 12 in two seasons.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Definitely check not only knowledge of the game and swing, but see if there's a possible chemistry fit. Do some research if a professional has a solid background then start with one lesson before committing to a series. I've been around the best and trained some of the best around the world, so I like to think I have a good idea of what’s out there.

Perfect! I have had only 2 lessons with Ted so far and already have seen amazing changes in my ability to strike the ball with confidence. Ted has a very unique teaching style that not only builds muscle memory but also builds your confidence level which to me is so important in developing a good golf swing.
If your struggling with the "what am I doing wrong" question, give Ted the opportunity to evaluate your golf game. You won't be sorry you did.
I highly recommend Ted Davidson. A true professional in all aspects of teaching golfPerfect! Extremely knowledgeable and experienced teacher. If you have the opportunity to work with this individual, then you are truly blessed 😎

I live in Trinidad and Tobago and am a member at the toughest country club on the island. I did two years at a golf academy in South Carolina. I'm 23 and I learned more from meeting Ted Davidson, when he came to train at our club, it was amazing watching him work with the younger Olympic Golfers training for Rio . His personality is engaging, he's so knowledgeable wow but he doesn't ever complicate anything, very simple but most of all yes we all in my country got better but the experience was what's most enjoyable. Anyone looking to not only get better but really enjoy the experience, it's not like other professionals.
about golf not just the swing but mental approach andExcellent instructor not only knowledgeable but worked with my natural swing he just focused on the fundamentals and didn't over complicate things. Great personality as well very easy to understand and work with.
I'm retired and a member up at Desert Mountain and met ted about 2 years ago up at the club. He started working with me and I'm somewhat new to the game but have an athletic background from professional baseball. I was at the time about a 13 handicap but Ted got me to a 10 in only 10 weeks but more then just the instruction because he's been a professional golfer his mental approach to the game is even more instrumental then the physical. I'm recommending him to as many people during the season as I can, a joy to be around.

I price my instruction by the lesson not by the hour with many packages to choose from. Each and every lesson is specifically tailored to the individual student with a focus on that person's own abilities and swing.
