About Reya
I want to tutor beginner classes for piano because I genuinely enjoy sharing the joy of music with others, especially those who are just starting their journey. Playing the piano has brought so much fulfilment and creativity into my life, and I love the idea of helping others experience that too. Teaching beginners is particularly rewarding because I get to witness those "aha!" moments when a student finally masters a new skill or piece. I also appreciate the opportunity to break down complex ideas into simple, digestible steps that make learning the piano approachable and fun. It's exciting to help students build a strong foundation, develop their confidence, and discover their potential. Tutoring beginners allows me to share my passion while fostering an environment where they can feel encouraged and motivated. Most of all, it’s about inspiring a love for music that can stay with them for a lifetime.

Lessons are for beginner students who wish to play their favourite pieces, or start as a stepping stone for a successful piano career. I studied and made music for 3 years but decided to specialise in piano. Lessons will be either 30 minutes or 1 hour depending on student availability. Students will learn the basics of music theory such as reading music, sight reading, mastering the basics of piano skills, and gradually progressing onto harder pieces. Students can pick songs they would like to learn and I will teach them. I have had experience working with children in tutoring so I know how to teach them.
