About Brigit
For 27 years, I have dedicated my career to creating a classroom where students feel challenged, supported, and inspired to learn. My teaching approach combines strong academic expectations with patience, consistency, and genuine care for each student’s growth. Over nearly three decades in education, I have worked with diverse learning styles and personalities, allowing me to adapt instruction so students can succeed with confidence.
Students are often drawn to my classes because I create an engaging and respectful learning environment where they feel seen, heard, and encouraged. I believe meaningful learning happens when students build trust in both the material and the teacher guiding them. With 27 years of experience as a K–12 educator, I have developed a student-centered lesson style that emphasizes engagement, confidence-building, and individualized instruction. My approach to English tutoring is grounded in the belief that every student can become a successful reader, writer, and communicator when instruction is tailored to their unique learning style, strengths, and academic goals.
