About Ayrton
Ayrton Pisco plays “with aplomb, displaying a spirited line, crystalline and deftly defined” (San Diego Story) and has earned top prizes in numerous competitions throughout the United States and abroad. Concert engagements have taken him across North and South America, Europe and Asia. Currently a member of the prestigious Kansas City Symphony, he has also collaborated with acclaimed ensembles including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the San Diego Symphony and The Philadelphia Orchestra. In addition to classical music, he also enjoys performing in genres such as jazz, tango, bossa nova, choro, mariachi and more. Originally from Brasília, Brazil, he holds degrees from Yale University and the University of Southern California.

I aim to make every violin lesson engaging, personalized, and effective, combining techniques with a focus on each student’s goals. My teaching blends classical training with flexible, modern approaches to help students develop strong fundamentals while keeping music enjoyable. Lessons nurture both technical skill and musical expression, helping students grow as complete musicians.
A typical lesson is structured but adaptable, starting with warm-ups, reviewing previous assignments, learning new material in manageable steps, and ending with practice strategies and goal-setting for the next lesson.
Lessons are designed for all ages and levels — from young beginners to adult learners, hobbyists to aspiring performers — and can be taken either virtually or in person in Kansas City. Every lesson is tailored to each student’s goals, pace, and musical interests.
