About Dr Rajershi Kumar
Starting his musical career as a child prodigy, Dr. Rajershi Kumar Kasudhan has attained a status of a legend in the field of music during his 30 years’ reign as a brilliant solo flutiest. Ever since he ascended the stage as Hindustani flutiest at the age of 15, a revolution took place in the North Indian music arena, particularly in the field of Flute.
Dr. Rajershi Kumar Kasudhan is today, One of India’s leading Young and Sought-after North Indian Classical Flutiest Belonging to the Banaras Gharana. A rigorous study of more than two Decades with renowned and able Gurus, Like Pt. Amar Nath, Pt. Shivnath Mishra and his Son Pt. Deobrat Mishra, Pt. Dr. Himanshu Vishwaroop, Has enriched Dr. Rajershi with a rich fund of knowledge. He is a recipient of the National Goverment Scholarship for Phd awarded by University Grant Commission. He Has featured on Various TV Channels like E-TV, Hindi News, DD Bharti, Sanskar Bharti. He is regular Performer on All India Radio.
Teenaged Rajershi’s flute renditions were so captivating that many flutiest dropped their ‘gatkari’ style and changed over to the Gayaki Ang. This style is one that was so perfected by a lifetime of discipline, hard work and arduous research that. He has earned himself the distinction of being the pioneer in this respect.
His Flawless rendition, Mestery of technique, Beauty of tone and great expressive quality soon cannot escape the ears of the biggies in the music world. He gently breathes melody into his flute. The notes springing out of his flute enhance the beauty of every classical ragas, films and folk song. Mesmerizing the audience with his inimitable passion of playing the flute and creating and eternal bond with the music lovers is a phenomenon occurring too often in the world of music.
The secret of Dr. Rajershi’s genius lies in the fact that a strong foundation was well-laid by his Guru’s, all are excellent teacher of music and man of great foresight. Dr. Rajershi invented a special flute technique for Gayaki Ang based on veena and vocal technique.
Dr. Rajershi Kasudhan have powerful and emotion packed style, gave a further fillip to research into an hitherto unexplored area of flute playing and emerge out with a masterly and brilliant technique best suited to the delineation of different forms of Hindustani music. Be it the majestic aalap of Dhrupad, the lyrical Khayal, the romantic Thumri, lilting and soulful Bhajan, vivacious Natyasangeet, tricky Tappa, nothing poses a challenge to his masterly and magical bowing and fingering technique.
His total involvement with the music and relentless pursuit of perfection, impeccable adherence to classical purity and precision of notes make his concerts stand out as unique in the festivals he participates. His tuneful renditions as well as well as his charming manners and harmonious involvement with the accompanists have captivated and endeared his music lovers from all over the world.
Dr. Rajershi is not only an exponent ‘par excellence’ of flute playing, but is also a brilliant academician. M.C.A. is Computer science, Ph.D. in Music and recipient of innumerable awards, Dr. Rajershi is a noted JRF and SRF scholar and had been serving the cause of music education at the Mewar Univesity from two years. He leaves his imprint in every field- be it stage performances, film song recordings, or background scores.
With a performing career spanning more than 23 years, Dr. Rajershi performs regularly all over Indian on Various Prestigious music stages like the Ganga Festival, Kashi Yatra, Prashanti Niliyam, PuttaParthi, Shruti Mandal, Khairagarh Mahotasav and so on.
At Present, Dr. Rajershi Kumar Kasudhan is the HOD cum Assistant Professor in Mewar University where Students are trained in Hindustani Classical Vocal or Instrumental Music using contemporary approach.

I have talent and passion for helping others fulfill their musical desires. My online platforms is a natural extension of my teaching style, and I welcome learners of all styles and levels. Classically trained with Classical and Semi- Classical and Light roots, I have ability and zest for all genres. I have been heavily involved in the different aspects of music including performance coaching, promotion, public relations, festival organization, and recording production as well as happy high-level coaching around the globe.
I live in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh where I have provided comfortable, high-quality online instruction for decades. Individuals and families who seek to learn the art of beautiful flute playing in an enthusiastic and positive environment find my teaching refreshing and fun, which in turn nurtures happiness and life-long confidence.
