About Austin
I've played professionally (as in, paid the bills!) with music since about 19 years old, when I left my only non-musical job, newspaper delivery man, to attend college. I'm (very near 29) and still carrying that musical torch, and much of what has afforded me the opportunity to get this far has been years upon years of giving private lessons, refining my technique over the years to retain students. Our lessons will cover some theory and technique, yes, you won't have any fun down the line if we don't, but they'll mostly be focused on you and how you like to learn (and most importantly, what you want to learn in our guitar lessons!)

Having studied the "proper way" to play guitar at both Austin Community College and Cornish College of the Arts, under the tutelage of PhD-Guitarists like Jacob Wise; as well as constantly gigging locally as well as touring the country whilst living in Austin Texas, later Nashville, TN, and then Austin again (touring with large acts in their own right like Curtis Grimes, Jesse Daniel, and Jake Dodds, and with them opening for legendary acts like Tracy Byrd, Koe Wetzel, Gene Watson, Easton Corbin, and Brad Paisley, whose bands exhibited militant professionalism and skill upon their instrument), I've gained an immense, hard-won insight into both the theory-of as well as the practical application of guitar "chops" (techniques, etc.) in modern music, and how to take the best from both worlds when giving a guitar lesson.
