About Renae
I graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2018 with a Bachelor of Primary Education and have since worked in both private and public schools across Adelaide. After welcoming my baby in late 2023, I decided to begin tutoring to allow me to work from home while continuing my passion for education. I believe that education is one of the most powerful, life-changing gifts we can offer a child. However, with increasing class sizes and diverse student needs, many children don’t receive the individual attention they deserve. My goal is to provide a supportive and engaging learning space where students can receive tailored assistance in Math, English, and Science (R-7). Students are welcome to bring their own schoolwork for guidance, or I can create a customized learning plan based on their specific needs. I strive to build a safe and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas, and gaining confidence in their abilities. I take the time to develop strong relationships with my students by actively listening, understanding their challenges, and providing meaningful support. I hold high expectations for my students and believe that constructive, timely feedback is essential for progress. I design personalized lessons that cater to each student’s needs, using interactive and engaging methods to build confidence and deep understanding. Lessons typically run for 45–60 minutes and incorporate research-based strategies, ICT tools, and the gradual release of responsibility model—guiding students from explicit instruction to independent learning. With over 8 years of teaching experience in Australian schools and a Bachelor of Education (Primary), I have worked with students of all abilities, including those with learning difficulties such as ADHD. My goal is to create a supportive and enjoyable learning environment, equipping students with the skills and confidence to succeed.
