About Tessa
I am a violin tutor with over seven years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Historical Performance with a focus on Baroque violin. My greatest joy is working with young children and helping them develop strong ear training skills from an early age. I use playful and age-appropriate strategies to make learning fun and engaging. Storytelling, rhythm games, and movement are all part of my lessons. We learn simple melodies that build technique while keeping the imagination alive. I draw from Suzuki and Kodály inspired methods to create a well-rounded musical foundation. My students learn to listen carefully and respond to music with their whole bodies. I believe that a strong musical ear is the key to becoming a confident violinist. My lessons are filled with joy, creativity, and positive encouragement. Every child progresses at their own pace in a supportive environment. I love seeing my students discover the magic of making music with their own hands.
