About Sanjana
Hi, I am Sanjana. I've been studying design for 5 years and currently work in UI/UX as a designer at JP Morgan Chase. I work in an AI team and develop LLMs. I think design and creativity are the future; however, there are not a lot of resources available to get started. On top of this, I am a master's student at Carnegie Mellon University. Using my experiences from both work and education, I hope to help with career counseling and help guide students towards their goals. I am open to giving general career advice outside of UI/UX as well! Looking forward to meeting you.

My lessons will follow an initial meeting to understand your needs: - What help do you need, in terms of career and academics? - What are you looking to learn: UX, UI, both, or portfolio building? - What is your current experience and goals? - Together --> we will formulate a plan to focus on areas of interest and learning. If the student wants to learn UI/UX without a designated plan, I will cover a few major topics in following sessions: - What is design? Why design? And how does it apply? - UX research: design thinking process, types of research, user journeys, personas, various types of mapping, and how to conduct user interviews and synthesize data - UI design: Focus on Figma, how to use Figma, creating frames, toolkit, colors, typography, auto layout, wireframing, and prototyping - Portfolio building: What is a design portfolio, what should be included, how can I build experiences if I have none, website building - (Optional) Resume review: Overview of resume, adjustment
