About Senjuti
SENJUTI LATU “We are not now that strength which in old days Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts, Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.” [A.L. Tennyson] It is often said that our lives are a sum total of our actions. Hence I believe that it is with music that my journey started as my mother would sing to me in the cradle, and it is with music that my journey might end — for it is my ‘sargam’, my ‘sanchayita’. In this world of chaos and noise, let's hum to the tunes of Saregama, let's learn and grow together beautifully. My present stance in life as a Graduated student who has completed her Masters in Music finds its origin in my mother Shrimati Sukriti Latu under whose talim my baby voice croaked and cultured its tunes. Subsequently, I was trained under Pandit Shantanu Bandopadhyay and Shri Aniruddha Bhattacharya. Presently I find myself tutored under the blessed presence of Ustad Arshad Ali Khan. My training in the genre of Classical Music under such crafty maestros has been instrumental in adapting and comfortably singing in the other various moods of music. For the past seven years, I have been teaching students music from various parts of the country and abroad and attempting to transpire my love for music into the hearts of these young buds. I have been a part of a reputed school in the capacity of a music teacher and presently run a music academy Apart from performing in various live concerts, I have also done playbacks for daily soaps, theaters and movies. Most notable of these contributions can be found in Anirban Bhattacharya's film ‘Ballabhpurer Roopkatha’ and SVF's production of ‘Byomkesh o Pinjrapole’
