About Abi
I'm a vocal coach who loves to sing and regularly performs at jazz jams. My passion for music drives my teaching - I believe everyone has a voice worth discovering and developing. I work with students of all levels, from complete beginners to those preparing for exams. My approach is relaxed and supportive because I know that confidence grows best in a comfortable environment where you can make mistakes and learn from these at your own pace. Our mistakes are often our biggest teachers! Whether you want to improve technically, build confidence, or simply enjoy singing more, I'm here to help you reach your goals. No pressure, no judgement- just guidance and plenty of encouragement along the way.

My approach to tutoring is entirely student centred, I will put your individual needs and experience first. I'll guide you to discover your unique voice and express yourself with confidence, helping you break free from fear of singing whether alone or in front of others. Together, we'll work on accepting and learning to love your voice and reach its amazing potential. I provide tailored breathing and vocal control exercises designed specifically for your needs, enabling you to hold notes with ease, understand and improve your pitch, and learn riffs and runs. These techniques also build confidence, promote relaxation, and strengthen your overall vocal power. For those interested, I also offer improvisation training to help you explore creative expression. My teaching style is informal, flexible, and completely adaptable to your desires and goals. Everyone is welcome regardless of experience level -you don't need to know music theory or consider yourself a 'singer.' Simply bring your voice and your enthusiasm. Lessons are typically 50 minutes and suitable for all ages and abilities. I am a Music Major Graduate from University of Bristol with a specialisation in Jazz Performance and I am classically trained up to Grade 8.
