About Meg
I have a 1st Class Degree in Jazz Vocals from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and am currently working towards a Masters in Vocal Pedagogy. I love to teach all genres, but have a real focus on contemporary and jazz styles. I have also released music to critical acclaim and have performed with artists such as Jordan Rakei and Tommy Blaize. I regularly perform my own music in Margate and London and regularly write music with some of Margate's most lovely musicians!

I hope to provide a fun and safe space for students to explore and discover their voices. In our lessons we will spend some time on developing technique to ensure you are singing healthily and to give you as many colours in your vocal palette as we can find! We will also work on repertoire, be that something I have suggested or something you have brought to me. We can also focus our attention towards a particular audition or performance, if you have something coming up! Lessons can either be 45 mins or an hour. I teach all ages, from 6 year olds, who are singing for the first time, through to experienced adults. I have experience in working with students who are entering grade exams, and preparing for conservatoire/university auditions and big performances. Skills we can learn: - Mic technique - Piano skills - Songwriting - Music Theory - Vocal Technique - Repertoire - Vocal Improvisation - General Musicianship - Performance Skills - Sight Reading
