About Amie
I am a classically trained violinist and experienced orchestral performer with years of ensemble and pit orchestra experience. I have performed extensively in symphonic and musical theater settings, developing strong ensemble awareness, musical precision, and stylistic flexibility. My background includes participation in honors orchestras and leadership experience as a section leader.
I am an experienced teacher, having taught orchestra in schools and private lessons. I am currently an orchestra director in a public school district.
Although my main instrument is viola, I regularly perform in both violin sections. I bring a broad understanding of ensemble balance, section dynamics, and collaborative musicianship.
