About Calla
My passion for violin began through listening to orchestral performances and exploring classical music during my childhood years. This fascination encouraged me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Music followed by a Master’s Degree in Classical String Performance. During the past 6 years, I have guided students from different musical backgrounds while helping them build confidence and expressive skill through supportive music education.
I believe music learning should feel encouraging, creative, and adaptable to every student’s individual pace and personality. My teaching style focuses on technical clarity, patient instruction, and expressive development that allows students to grow comfortably and confidently over time. I encourage learners to ask questions and explore music openly because confidence develops naturally through consistent support and active participation.
Outside teaching, I enjoy chamber music sessions, orchestral performances, and studying different violin interpretations across musical styles and periods. Staying actively connected to music helps me bring fresh inspiration and creative energy into lessons. Teaching violin is deeply rewarding because I enjoy helping students discover their musical identity and expressive confidence. My goal is always to support learners in becoming skilled, expressive, and passionate musicians.

My violin lessons focus on helping students build technical confidence while developing expressive and enjoyable musical skills. I teach bow control, posture, intonation, rhythm accuracy, ear training, and musical phrasing in a calm environment where students can improve comfortably at their own pace. Students learn how to connect technical exercises with expressive playing so music feels meaningful and creative. Every lesson encourages patience, consistency, and personal growth.
Lessons are adjusted carefully according to the learner’s experience level and musical interests. Beginners focus on holding technique, simple scales, open string exercises, and rhythm development, while advanced learners work on vibrato, advanced bowing techniques, performance preparation, and expressive interpretation. I include listening activities, slow practice methods, and guided exercises regularly because repetition strengthens both confidence and technical understanding effectively. Students receive supportive correction that helps them improve steadily without unnecessary pressure.
I aim to create a reassuring atmosphere where students feel comfortable exploring music and improving gradually. Many learners initially struggle with confidence or coordination, so I focus on building skill step by step through supportive guidance and structured practice. Over time, students improve musical expression, concentration, and performance confidence naturally. Violin becomes much more rewarding when learners discover how music can communicate emotion and creativity beautifully.
