About Rohan
Rohan is an experienced violin teacher with over 10 years of teaching, helping students of all levels—from complete beginners to advanced players—develop strong technique and a genuine love for music. He is passionate about teaching Western classical repertoire alongside contemporary styles such as rock, jazz, and Bollywood, so lessons feel both structured and inspiring.
Rohan has trained students for ABRSM grade exams, preparing them for exams, performances, and school or conservatoire auditions. He has also introduced improvisation as a module within his teaching curriculum, helping students become more confident, creative, and better at collaborating with other musicians.
He holds a degree in music education, combines strong pedagogical foundations with real‑world experience as a professional violinist, and has performed in over 500 concerts with bands and on stage. As a music composer, he has worked with BBC Arts and Moonbug Entertainment, and as a recording session violinist he has contributed to more than 50 Indian film scores, giving him a deep understanding of both classical and contemporary music production.
Rohan’s teaching style is friendly, patient, and encouraging. He tailors lessons to your individual level, goals, and interests, so you can progress at your own pace while still being challenged. He truly believes that learning the violin should be fun, enjoyable, and personally rewarding.
