My lessons would be an hour long, and tailored towards my students' needs. Typically they would consist of going back to basics and ensuring a foundational understanding is present when dealing with difficult texts. Additionally, we would work towards improving our analytical skills and thinking of deeper meanings within the texts. I would ensure that the techniques used by the authors (and why) are understood, allowing students to write in more detail and more critically.
