About Mimi
Hi! I'm Mimi. I am a Uni student currently studying fine art painting at Central Saint Martins. A lot of my interests align with the creative side of education, and English, in many ways, falls into this. I really started to enjoy English in Year 9 when the GCSE course started for me, the books we learnt were so interesting. One of my favourites was Macbeth, and the Poetry Anthology. Much of this love for English is to do with the contexts of the novel, play, poem etc... historical stories and socio-political commentary which is important to grasp when learning English in secondary, it can inform a lot about how successfully you know a text. I also don't like a standard lesson, switching up ways of doing things, especially talking about your thoughts can be a successful revision tool and strengthen your literacy.
