About Mia
As I have been studying Sociology for the past (almost) four years, I have developed a deep passion for the subject and I have found my own inspiration from it. The subject has taught me to be highly critical of everything! One of my favourite things about Sociology is how open-minded you become; it allows you to see from other perspectives, and understand how we work as a society on a macro and micro scale. I understand that students have felt they have not been in sixth form/college for the normal duration and are expected to sit exams in the summer (despite the disruption of COVID) and I would love to inspire confidence for you to push yourself to your target grade - if not exceed higher!
I am also a full-time student and I have a part-time job at TKMaxx, my hobbies include: painting, listening to music and, of course, going out with my friends!

I would tutor in the way that I revise and learn, for example, through mindmaps, listing and colour coding. Furthermore, we will practice planning and answering past exam questions - this is sooo effective and beneficial! I have not tutored before, but I am very passionate about the subject and I am always trying to teach my friends and family new things. I am tutoring for 16-18-year-olds who are studying AQA A-Level Sociology and students should expect lessons to last an hour - however, I know this is a long period of time to be focusing for. I am good at tuning into others, therefore, if you revise better speaking informally that is completely fine! Yet, if you revise better spending the hour focusing solidly that is also fine!
