About Benjamin
Hi! My name is Benjamin and I am a 22 year old History and Politics student at the University of East Anglia. I remember how stressful my GCSEs were and the amount of pressure we were put under. My advice, don't worry! Your GCSEs are extremely important, but so long as you stay relaxed, focus, and study as best you can, then you WILL be successful.
It is my job to facilitate that success, by helping you in any way I can. You will have a lot of control of the sessions. I will make suggestions but it is ultimately up to you what we cover. The point of these sessions is to make you more confident and knowledgable, so we'll iron out any weak spots you have and straighten up anything you don't understand. Don't be afraid to communicate, I won't bite! If you feel we are covering the wrong content or that we are moving through content too fast just let me know, these sessions are for you after all.
As for why I can help you succeed, I did pretty well in my GSCEs. I got 11 A-B including 7s in English Language and Literature. I also did well in my A levels, which were essay based, and I am currently on course to do well in my degree based on my current grades. Don't be intimidated though, whatever your current level and goals are we can work together to get you to where you want to be.

Hi! I offer lessons for students preparing to take GCSE English. I will tailor my lessons to the ability and requirements of the student, by assessing their strength and weakness and going through any work or questions the students bring to the session. The structure of the lessons is thus bespoke to the individual student, and I will go away and prepare content for the next session based on the previous ones. Lessons are typically 1 hour in length, although 90 minute sessions can be arranged if desired.
As for my qualifications, I achieved 11 GCSEs grade A-B, including 7s (A equivalent) in both English Language and Literature. I also have level 3 qualifications in Philosophy, Economics, and business studies. Additionally, while in my second year at college I was selected to be a student mentor, coaching younger students on my course. I now study at the University of East Anglia, where I have been able to hone my essay writing skills. I am in my second year and just received my first set of grades for my essays, all of which were graded at a 1st.
I am open to feedback and will do my utmost to ensure my students obtain as much value as possible from our sessions together.
