About Kristina
Hi! I'm a UCLA Business Economics student and a graduate of San Diego Miramar College with a passion for helping students succeed in math. Throughout my academic journey, I've tutored classmates, led study groups, and worked with students through Miramar College's Academic Success Center, gaining experience explaining challenging concepts in a clear and approachable way.
I understand that math can feel intimidating, but I believe every student is capable of succeeding with the right guidance. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, and building confidence in their abilities. My goal as a tutor is to help students truly understand concepts rather than simply memorize procedures. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to each individual's pace and learning preferences. As someone who has successfully completed rigorous college-level mathematics courses and tutored peers, I understand the challenges students face and strive to create a supportive, encouraging learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions.
