About Liam

I'm Liam, a 22-year-old from Cork who has just completed a BSc in Financial Mathematics and Actuarial Science at UCC. I was awarded the Boole Prize in Mathematics during my degree, and I'll be continuing to UCL London in September to study an MSc in the same field.

Maths has always come naturally to me, I achieved a H1 in Maths, Physics DCG and Applied Maths in my Leaving Cert. I genuinely enjoy breaking down difficult concepts in a way that makes sense to students. I've given grinds before and understand the pressure that comes with the Leaving Cert, particularly in the final weeks before the exams.

Outside of academics, I've worked at Stryker, represented over 5,000 students as a Students' Union rep, and I'm involved in GAA and powerlifting. I'm personable, patient, and focused on getting results for my students.

I recently completed a BSc in Financial Mathematics and Actuarial Science at UCC, where I was awarded the Boole Prize in Mathematics. I am continuing to UCL London in September to study an MSc in the same field. I have experience giving grinds in Leaving Cert Maths, Applied Maths, and Physics, and I understand exactly what the exams require.

My lessons are tailored to the individual student, whether that means building core understanding from scratch or sharpening exam technique in the final weeks before the Leaving Cert. Sessions are typically one hour, conducted online via video call and I keep things practical and focused. I'm particularly strong on the higher-level paper, including topics like calculus, sequences and series, and probability.

I work best with Leaving Cert students at Ordinary or Higher Level who want to improve their grade before the June exams.
