My approach is very flexible; we meet on zoom and read over the instructions to find exactly what the professor is looking for (this is half the battle) or your working draft. We can discuss the content of your writing, sentence structure, how many words should be dedicated to each section, citations, building a strong argument, and whatever else can help improve your essay. My most recent students had no experience in academic writing (first year psych students) and received 97% and 98% on their essays, which were entirely their ideas with a little guidance from me to polish the presentation.
