About Lucas
I earned my Physics degree at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. Before that, I began my post-secondary journey in Selkirk College’s First Year UAS Engineering program. I've always found joy in blending analytical thinking with creative problem-solving, a trait I honed as a STEM student. Outside of academics, I'm a passionate musician, an avid long-distance runner, and I find solace in waterskiing. My skill set extends beyond the classroom, encompassing proficiency in Matlab, Data Analysis, Microsoft Office, Social Media, and Research. My academic background culminated in a Bachelor of Science - BSc, with a focus on Physics, from The University of British Columbia.

In my teaching journey, I've had some incredible opportunities to share my love for learning with others. I co-taught a Python class, diving into the exciting world of programming alongside eager students. As a teaching assistant for various university classes, I had the chance to work closely with professors and students, helping to bring complex subjects to life. Outside the university, I've enjoyed casually tutoring high school students in math and science, finding joy in those "aha" moments when things click for them. Each experience has not only deepened my understanding of teaching but has also reaffirmed my belief in the transformative power of education.
